High fives FOUNDATION
High Fives Foundation is a Lake Tahoe-based, national 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Located in Truckee, California, the foundation provides grants for rehabilitation support to athletes with life-altering injuries as a result of mountain sports. It also promotes awareness of injury prevention. Athletes such as Nick Fairall and Julia Mancuso are involved with the foundation.
he foundation's Empowerment Fund provides grants to disabled winter action sports athletes and athletes recovering from life-altering injuries. The foundation expanded its mission to help people injured in summer mountain sports.
CR. JOHNSON HEALING CENTER
Located at 10775 Pioneer Trail – Suite #108 in Truckee, CA, the CR Johnson Healing Center is a program service of the High Fives Non-Profit Foundation that provides resources for athletes in recovery from sport related injuries. Resources include: physical therapy, acupuncture, massage, personal training and more.
Along with providing a private space for High Fives Foundation Winter Empowerment Athletes to work toward their respective recoveries in a private, “no questions asked” facility, the CR Johnson Healing Center functions to promote health, and to offer great healing and wellness opportunities from some of Truckee-Tahoe’s best healing professionals at a discounted rate, with proceeds going to the High Fives Foundation.
